Renzi Foodservice supports Oswego County Opportunity initiative

WATERTOWN — Renzi Foodservice will be a Silver level sponsor for Oswego County Opportunity's upcoming "Giving Thanks" fundraiser in support of its Sleep Tight initiative aimed at stopping the spread of bed bugs.

"Giving Thanks" will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, at the Lake Ontario Convention, Event and Conference Center, 26 E. First St., Oswego.

"Bed Bugs are no longer a 'big city' problem, they are now spreading across Central New York," OCO executive director Diane Cooper-Currier said in a news release. "We are very grateful to Renzi Foodservice for supporting our efforts and choosing to be part of the solution by helping us provide safe, hygienic bedding for kids in need."

"An essential part of the Renzi mission is our commitment to delivering the difference to the communities where we do business, and where our employees live and work."

The event will feature a number of food stations offering an assortment of harvest season inspired delicacies and refreshments from Oswego County's most popular restaurants, including Canale's Restaurant, Mill House Market, La Parrilla, Blue Moon Grill, The Press Box, Mimi's Drive-In, The Eis House, GS Steamers and Alex's On the Water.

Also attending will be Ontario Orchards, CiTi Culinary Arts, Appledale Orchards, Colosse Cheese, and OCO Nutrition Services. Wine and beer samples from Eagle Beverage will pair with the foods featured at each station.

World-renowned guitarist Loren Barrigar will provide the entertainment for the evening.

Tickets are $30 per person and include food, refreshments and beer and wine tastings.
